The Raja Kita Exhibition is organised by the Department of Museums Malaysia, Ministry of National Unity, in conjunction with the Coronation of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong. This exhibition is one of the approaches to introduce His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, the Queen.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to understand the history of the Johor Sultanate as early as the 16th century. The Johor Sultanate was formally established in 1528 by the son of Sultan Mahmud, descended from Sultan Alauddin Riayat Shah II (1528–1564), as the continuation of the Malacca Sultanate.

It is hoped that what is presented in this Raja Kita Exhibition will benefit all levels of society in appreciating the concept of the Constitutional Monarchy, and that all parties will ensure that the concept of the Constitutional Monarchy practised to this day remains relevant to the nation, in order to preserve peace and harmony and to strengthen the loyalty of the beloved people of Malaysia.

The Raja Kita Exhibition is a repository of historical information and facts on the Institution of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the concept of the Constitutional Monarchy as the pillar of the Federal Constitution, contributing to the formation of a harmonious Malaysia.

This exhibition emphasises and aspires for the public to understand the role and function of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong as the Head of State as enshrined in the Malaysian Constitution.

The Raja Kita Exhibition is also themed on the history and role of the monarchy as a unifying force in the diversity of society for the sake of Malaysia’s peace and prosperity, the preservation of cultural heritage, and national identity in line with the aspiration of the Government of Malaysia to strengthen national identity and unity through the Malaysia MADANI unity ecosystem.
